What EasyOfficeFix is

A small, independent repair service for Office documents that stopped cooperating. Word files that refuse to open, Excel workbooks stuck in a repair loop, PowerPoint decks that load three slides and then vanish.

The work is done by hand. Files are opened at the XML level, damaged parts are isolated, and everything that can be salvaged is rebuilt into a clean document. Automated “repair” tools are used only as a last resort, because they tend to hand back a file that opens but has silently lost half its formatting.

How it started

Years of watching the same thing happen: someone’s important spreadsheet fails on a Friday, the built-in recovery does nothing, and the only advice online is a list of steps that all assume the file is fine.

Most of those files are recoverable. The reason they are not is usually that someone already tried to save over them, or that the recovery needed ten minutes of actual inspection rather than a free tool.

How it works here

  • One engineer, no queue. You email help@easyofficefix.com, you get an assessment.
  • A flat price agreed in advance. No hourly billing, no surprise charges after the fact.
  • Your file stays yours. Working copies are deleted once you confirm the repaired file opens.

What gets written up

The blog is where the fixes that do not need a specialist go — the steps worth trying before paying anyone, including the ones that recover the file and the ones that quietly destroy it.
